CO2NNECT Virtual Event Series #2 - Scaling Net-Zero Infrastructure: Climate, Jobs, and Investment Benefits of Deploying CO2 Transport and Storage
The second CO2NNECT virtual event, hosted by the Great Plains Institute, will highlight the essential importance of CO2 transport and storage infrastructure in achieving global net-zero emissions and meeting midcentury climate goals, while sustaining and growing a high-wage energy, industrial and manufacturing jobs base. This event will include featured the release of final results from the Rhodium Group’s jobs and investment analysis, highlighting the policy tools needed for deployment of CO2 transport and storage infrastructure.

Our guests in the international session will share groundbreaking examples of leadership and financial commitment to large-scale deployment of CO2 transport and storage infrastructure in Europe, followed by a domestic panel highlighting the crucial importance of such deployment to decarbonization of key U.S. industries and regional economies. Speakers will also discuss policy priorities to include in the forthcoming U.S. federal infrastructure package, including key provisions of the of the Storing CO2 and Lowering Emissions (SCALE) Act.
