We hope you will join the Great Plains Institute on Monday 6/29 from 12:30 – 1:00 pm ET for a webinar on the topic of “Best Practices for Standby Rates for Combined Heat and Power.” The goal of the webinar will be to introduce and launch an upcoming survey requesting feedback on standby rates best practices for CHP. The presenter for this webinar will be Jamie Scripps of Hunterston Consulting LLC whose standby rate research has been featured in numerous proceedings.
Best practices for standby rates have begun to emerge, but additional work is needed to further define and standardize these practices. The purpose of this upcoming survey is to begin to critically examine these emerging recommended practices with interested stakeholders such as regulators, potential CHP users, developers, technical experts, and utilities. Following this online survey, there will be an opportunity to provide additional feedback in a one-on-one interview. The survey and interview results will inform a forthcoming white paper on standby rate best practices for CHP.
